Duration: 3 days. Elba: a continent enclosed in a small island.
  • Elba: a continent enclosed in a small island. The cliffs consisting of pure white Eurite  contrast with the brilliant beaches of hematite, the green-black beaches of serpentine and basalt rocks alternate with red jasper. Here are not only the rocks to surprise but also an ancient culture with pieces that emerge here and there and that have been not swallowed up by the green and luxuriant mediterranean vegetation. The bays, the ridges, the hills have been shaped by the ancestral presence of man even though  seem to rebel to him producing a harmonious fusion of landscape and history.
  • Starting from the most east corner of the island we will walk on the main ridge line as far as Porto Azzurro.

The second stage will lead us through the middle part of Elba which is typified by sweet hills.

The third stage is on the highest mountain of Elba, walking on his gorgeous ridge line and mountain sides .

  • The mountains and hills of Elba island can be sometimes steep and rocky but each stage of the Elba crossing is neither dangerous nor extreme and a practice to walk several hours a day and to carry a backpack of at least 10 kg is recommended. The overnight is mostly  in hotels and B&B which are used to offer also breakfast and dinner. While walking you can find  rarely fontains with drinkable water. The weather can be very hot especially in the summer months therefore is strongly recommended to take with you enough water .
  • You can choose among several options in order to face the walk experience. You can let us carry your heavy luggage, booking directly the huts, and just reserve the guiding service. Otherwise you can ask a picking up at beginning or at the end of the trip. You can rent by us a GPS instrument with preloaded tracks.
